January 31, 2016

You were in my room this week playing with toys and I looked down and you were clapping! All by yourself. I tried to get you to do it again, but when I bring out my camera, all you care about is my phone. You are getting better at pulling yourself up on things. You still can't get back down yet. You also started "cruising". You pulled yourself up to standing and was holding onto my nightstand and then you "cruised" over to my bed. You are so sweet and fun and everyone at church loves looking at you and playing with you.

I also wanted to share this quote with you. I thought it was really good. It's basically good advice for life:
Live beneath your means. Return everything you borrow. Stop blaming other people. Admit it when you make a mistake. Give clothes not worn to charity. Do something nice and try not to get caught. Listen more; talk less. Every day take a 30-minute walk. Strive for excellence, not perfection. Be on time. Don't make excuses. Don't argue. Get organized. Be kind to people. Be kind to unkind people. Let someone cut ahead of you in line. Take time to be alone. Cultivate good manners. Be humble. Realize and accept that life isn't fair. Know when to keep your mouth shut. Go an entire day without criticizing anyone. Learn from the past. Plan for the future. Live in the present. Don't sweat the small stuff. It's all small stuff.
I hope you are able to live your life in a way that brings you peace and happiness. I know that only comes through a life centered on Jesus Christ.
I love you so much!
Love, MOM
